New Zealand

Scholarship Details

from NZD$5,000 for tuition fees.

Requirements

The standard minimum value of the scholarship is $5,000. However, for exceptional students it may be awarded at a higher value. Recipients must be enrolled in two consecutive full-time teaching periods of the Pathway │ Te Huarahi programme to maintain eligibility for this scholarship. This is applicable to those doing either the Foundation Certificate or Diploma programme through Pathway. The scholarship to be awarded is normally received in the form of reduced accommodation fees, where a recipient has accepted an offer of place in University of Otago owned or affiliated accommodation, and/or tuition fees for the first year of study at the University of Otago. The scholarship will usually be taken up in the year for which it is awarded; however, students may apply in writing to the Manager, Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships for permission to defer the scholarship for up to 1 year. Deferrals will not usually be granted where a recipient is studying at another tertiary institution prior to or during the scholarship tenure. Those who have received a Ngā Koroī or a POPO scholarship, or are Government sponsored students, are ineligible to receive a Pathway │ Te Huarahi scholarship.
