Global Freshman Scholars (University of South Alabama)

The Global Freshman Scholars award is a competitive, merit-based scholarship, awarded to a limited number of well-qualified international students each year. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years, or until a first bachelor's degree is earned, whichever comes first.

To ensure consideration for this opportunity, students must be fully admitted to the University by the priority deadlines*. After acceptance to the University of South Alabama, incoming first-time freshmen will automatically be reviewed for the Global Freshman Scholars awards, and no additional scholarship application is required. A scholarship award notification will be emailed to qualified students through their JagMail account.

• Be an international freshman on an F-visa
• Be a degree-seeking student
• Have a minimum ACT of 21 (or SAT 1060)
• Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0
