Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus is the international branch campus of Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia which was established in 1908. The Sarawak campus was established in Kuching, the capital city of the Malaysian state of Sarawak, in 2000.
The campus is a partnership between Swinburne Australia and the Sarawak government. The campus is part of a long-term strategy by Swinburne Australia, to globalize its operations and provide its students with international living, working and learning opportunities.
Swinburne is a world class Australian university ranked at Top 1.5% among world's top university by the QS World Ranking 2021, and Swinburne prides itself in offering a range of industry-applicable courses such as business, engineering, computing, design, and science at Foundation, Degree, Master and PhD levels. The university offers degrees equivalent to those of its home campus in Melbourne, Australia and as a result, students are awarded the same Australian testamur. Students may complete their degrees entirely in Kuching or transfer to its main campus in Melbourne to complete them. These courses are a fraction of the cost of studying in Australia and parchments are awarded by Swinburne Australia.
