Perdana University was established in 2011 as Public-Private Partnership Project under the umbrella of the Public-Private Partnership Unit in the Prime Minister's Department. With a focus on providing quality education in medicine and health sciences, Perdana University has made significant strides and innovative transformation in education, research, and service since its inception.
In 2021, Perdana University was awarded Tier 4: Very Good in the Rating System for Malaysian Higher Education 2018/2019 (SETARA) from the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE).
